Virginia Mariam (Link) Niewold, 90

Virginia Mariam (Link) Niewold, age 90 passed away peacefully at her home in Green Cove Springs, Florida on December 14, 2016. Virginia was born in Lima, Ohio on January 6, 1926 to Joe Francis and Gladys E. (Lyle) Link.  Virginia moved to Green Cove Springs in 2003, she enjoyed riding around town on her 3 wheeled tricycle and enjoyed eating lunch under the pavilions in the Green Cove Springs Park (which she liked calling her favorite restaurant) looking out into the St. John’s River.  Before moving to Green Cove, she lived in Sarasota, Florida where she worked in Dietary at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and after retirement she volunteered in the Employees Child Care Center.  She was an amazing and loving mother.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Niewold, daughters, Rose Adkins and Diana Niewold. Survivors include her sister, Theresa Brown and brother, Jack Link, Virginia’s children:  daughter, Mary Cooper and grandson Mark; daughter Cora Clements and grandson Philip; son, Harold Niewold and his wife Melissa and granddaughter Alyson and grandson Garret; her daughter Joan Niewold; her son William (Bill) Niewold and granddaughters Sarah and Emily.  Children from Rose Adkins (deceased); grandson David Adkins, his wife Chris and their children David Elijah and Lorelei Elisabeth; grandson Ernest Adkins and his children Bella and Daniel; grandson Michael Adkins and his wife Shannon and their son Cameron; granddaughter Becky Adkins and her children Maci, Zeb and Tinsley other grandchildren Gary Cooper and his wife Karen and their son Daniel; grandson Dean Cooper and his wife Stephanie; granddaughter Layne Peters and her daughters Leslie and Ashley.
