Toni Marie Hughes, 66

Toni Marie Hughes, 66, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026.  She was born in Panama City, FL to June Dilzer Brown and the late Ed Chancey.  Toni attended Mosley High School and worked as an office manager for Mathison Retirement Center.  She lived in Panama City for 56 years before retiring in Northeast Florida with her husband and two beloved poodles, Lucy and Tinker.

Toni was a loving caring, and a remarkable woman whose kindness touched everyone she knew. She always found joy in making those around her comfortable, cared for, and happy.  Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and ability to make others feel welcome will be deeply missed.

Toni enjoyed cruises, going to the Smoky mountains, boating, fishing, and most of all, trips to Disney with her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world and the memories created with them will be treasured forever.

Toni was preceded in death by her father, Ed Chancey.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 50 years, Greg Hughes, Sr.; her mother, June Dilzer Brown; her son, Greg Hughes, Jr. (Morgan); Daughter, Jennifer Bower (Jon); Brothers, Guy Chancey (Connie) and Eddie Chancey (Karen); Sister, Debbie Jones (Tom); six granddaughters Ashley Hughes, Sydney Hughes, Harper Hughes, Hailey Bower, Lilly Bower and Emily Bower; as well as many extended family member.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home, 247 N Tyndall Pkwy, Panama City, FL 32404. Visitation will begin at 9am with the service to follow at 10am.
