Thomas Charles Polcak, 82

Thomas “Tom” Charles Polcak, 82, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Charles and Evelyn Mae Deering Polcak.

Tom spent most of his life in Maryland before relocating to Florida in 1991, where he lived until 2019. He then returned to Maryland to be closer to family. A man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, Tom loved golfing and, in his later years, especially cherished watching his grandson Tyler play golf. He also enjoyed gardening, watching football, playing cards and games, and spending time with those he loved. Tom had a special place in his heart for his beloved German Shepherds, “Major,” “Rango”, and “Bummer,” whom he adored.

Tom was married to his devoted wife, April Polcak, for nearly 60 years, sharing a lifetime of love and memories together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Polcak and Evelyn Mae Deering Polcak; his loving wife, April Polcak; his sons, Brian Tom Polcak and Mark Charles Polcak; his brother, James Sladek and his sister, Patricia Richardson.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Deborah Lynn Showalter (Shawn) and his grandchildren, Tyler Polcak (Alexis), Jordan Polcak, Jacob Polcak, and Ryan Polcak.

Tom will be remembered for his love of family, his quiet strength, and the joy he found in everyday moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
