Terrie Lynne Ensell, 62

Terrie Lynne (Schneider) Ensell, age 62, passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding her on Sunday, December 28, 2025 in Orange Park, Florida.

Terrie was born on May 25, 1963, in Decatur, Illinois to John F. Schneider and Eva (Chandler) Schneider. She was united in marriage to Kurt A. Ensell on August 24, 1984 at Camp Lejune, NC. Together they shared over four decades of love and devotion and two sons, Alex and Noah.

Terrie is survived by her husband, Kurt Ensell; and cherished grandsons, Isaiah and Cosmo, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her sister Chris (Dennis) Hamilton of Maroa, Illinois, as well as brothers- and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews who she loved fiercely and considered her “other babies,” and her “daughters in love.”

She was preceded in death by her sons Alex and Noah, her parents, brother, John Schneider and sister Diann Hill.

Terrie served as President and CEO of their small business. She previously worked as secretary for St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Middleburg, Florida. Terrie had a deep passion for her faith and found great joy in serving as Sunday School teacher, taking pride in nurturing and growing children’s faith. She also served on the fellowship committee at church and as a board member at Homeward Hounds Bed & Biscuit.

Above all else, Terrie’s greatest love was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, faith, and unwavering love touched all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (1614 Blanding Blvd. Middleburg, FL 32068).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Middleburg, FL or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
