Steve D. Pray, 57 of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022. Steve was born  and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was a graduate of the University of Louisiana. He worked for Crowne Banking in Orlando and continued in investment banking after his move to Clay County in 1994 by working in both Duval and Clay County. For the past few years, Steve was an entrepreneur, self-employed in finance and home renovations. He attended River Christian Church.

Steve is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard.   He was an avid dove hunter, president of Phase 3 Hunting Club in White Springs, Florida, enjoyed boating and fishing with his sons, raising hunting dogs “Vizsla breed”, along with raising chickens. Steve will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Pray was preceded in death by his parents, James Dwayne and Mary Ethel Pray, brother, Jeffory Pray, and is survived by his wife, Sheree Pray, sons, Tanner Pray, Kalen Pray, step-daughter McKenna (Chris) Coffey, sisters, Valeri (Timothy) Ronstadt and Deblyn (Philip) Ceeley, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at River Christian Church, 5900 U.S. Highway 17, Fleming Island, FL. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to services.  Burial will follow at 2:00 PM Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
