Sherri Lynn Wattles, 63, of Greenville, FL passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026.  She was born in New Castle, IN to Elaine Wilson and the late Bernard Laurie.  Sherri graduated from Osceola High School in 1981 before embarking on a career that took her to Tinker Air Force Base working for CACI as a defense contractor, as well as Northrup Grummond in St. Augustine, FL.

Sherri loved being outside, fishing and camping.  She also enjoyed shopping and decorating her home to be a peaceful retreat for her family but her favorite thing was spending quality time with her 4 grankids.  Sherri was very active at the Senior Center in Madison where Sherri’s larger than life and loving personality endeared her to everyone she met. Sherri was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and could be found worshipping with her friends and family at Lake Park nursing home in Madison, FL. Sherri is known by all for her amazing smile that lit up the room when she wheeled in. She will be remembered as a child of the King, that exuded charity.

Sherri was preceded in death by her father, Bernie Laurie; her stepfather, Bud Alligood; her brother, David Laurie; as well as her beloved husband, Jeffrey Wattles.  She is survived by her mother, Elaine Alligood; son, James Buss; four grandchildren she adored, Judah, Jeremiah, Faith and Sarah Buss; niece, Brandi Laurie; nephew, Jeff Laurie; as well her great-nephew, Bently Laurie.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2026 at 1:00pm in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Sherri’s memory to Senior Citizens Center, 1161 Harvey Greene Dr, Madison, FL 32340.
