Sean D. Metzig, 51

Sean D. Metzig, 51 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  Mr. Metzig was born to the late Gene and Deborah Metzig in Denver, Colorado and moved to Florida several years ago.  Sean had been a resident of Clay County for the past 12 years and was a plant manager for CANAM Steel for 25 years.  He served in the US Navy for four years and was a member of Hibernia Baptist Church.  Over the years, Sean enjoyed many activities with fishing and going to the beach near the top of the list.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Metzig was preceded in death by his brother, Craig Metzig and is survived by his wife of 25 years, Denise Metzig, children, Brandy Caupp, Alyssa (Robert) Huttula, William Metzig and Kaden Metzig, brother, Kevin (Michelle) Metzig, sister, Tiffany (Michael) Pellegrino, and six grandchildren, Ryleigh, Raegan, Remington, Kennedy, Avery and Alivia.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Hibernia Baptist Church.
