Scott William Lineberry, 49

Scott William Lineberry, 49 of Orange Park, FL passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026.  Scott was born in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Orange Park High School in 1994.  Following his graduation, Scott attended Florida State College (FCCJ), graduated from UNF with a degree in Criminal Justice and completed his training from Florida Gateway College Public Safety Training Center of Lake City, FL in 1999.  After his graduation, he worked for the Pasco County Sheriff Department and moved to Orange Park in 2010 where he retired from Orange Park Police Department in 2025.

Mr. Lineberry was an excellent photographer, enjoyed baseball and football.  He was a video gamer, played chess and enjoyed playing Texas hold ’em where he earned the nickname “Vegas”.

Scott had an unparalleled love for his family.  He never passed a chance to show his love and his love will continue on for many years to come.  Scott will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Lineberry is survived by his wife, Edith Lineberry, son, Vaughn Lineberry, daughter, Morgan Lineberry, parents, William and Janet Lineberry, brother, David (Mary) Lineberry and many extended family members.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 26, 2026 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.  Pastor Tim Martin and Lt. Joel Grant will be officiating.  Orange Park Police Department will be rendering Honors.
