Scott Bresnahan, 67
Scott Bresnahan passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, after a long, brave, and brutal fight with leukemia. He faced his illness with a courage and grace that was entirely his own, and while those who loved him will miss him deeply, there is comfort in knowinghe is no longer burdened by pain or fear.
Scott was deeply loved by his wife, Jennifer Tossavainen. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Fred and Millie Bresnahan; his mother, Marilyn “Perky” Bresnahan; his in-laws, David and Kathleen Scheuring; his sons Jordan and Taylor, and their wives Jessica and Ryleigh; his son Connor, who preceded him in death; his bonus sons Tyler and Dylan, and their wives Jacky and Tori; his five grandchildren; his brothers Andrew and Barry, and Barry’s wife Jenny; his stepsister Michele Swanston; his brother-in-law David Scheuring Jr. and his wife Aprille; and the countless nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
Scott was a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty, where he built relationships the same way he built everything else in life: with warmth, humor, and an easygoing confidence that made people feel at ease the moment they met him. He had a gift for making every person feel like the most important one in the room.
A devoted Florida Gators fan, Scott loved college football with the kind of loyalty that did not require a winning season. He also loved live music, theater, politics, lollipops, Werther’s hard candy, and anything sweet. He was committed to fitness and could often be found walking the golf course or putting in time at the gym, which he balanced by also being, at heart, a committed beach bum. He was happiest poolside, soaking up the sun, music playing, with nowhere else he would rather be.
Those who knew Scott will remember his smile, his impressively full head of hair, and the rare and easy way he had of making life feel lighter just by being in it. He was loved fiercely, and he will be missed beyond measure.
In true Realtor fashion, Scott’s Celebration of Life will be held as an open house, drop-in style, at his home from 4:30pm to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22nd. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to come, stay as long as they like, and share stories of Scott in remembrance of his life.
