Sarah L. Tech, 62
Sarah L. Tech, 62, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her beloved home. Born in Wellsville, NY to the late Margaret Norris and Robert Babbitt, she was a member of the 1981 graduating class of Letchworth Central High School in Gainesville, NY. Upon graduating, Sarah joined the United States Navy where she proudly served her country for 22 years, before retiring as a Petty Office 1st Class. Sarah traveled the world and was proud of all her accomplishments, as she should have been.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Norris and Robert Babbitt; and her brothers, Martin (Buster) White, and Brian White. She is survived by her sisters, Betsy Jo Smith (Les), Mary White, Bonnie Shelly (Kenny), and Marjorie McNally; several nieces and nephews; as well as her dear friend, Terrie Irvine.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 27, 2026, at 11am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest. Inurnment will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
