Sarah Elizabeth Powers, 67

Sarah Elizabeth Powers, 67, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, at 11:40 p.m. in Orange Park, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Sarah was raised in Lowellville, Ohio, before making Middleburg, Florida her home throughout her adult life. She built a life centered on family, community, and generosity, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Sarah was the beloved wife of Charles  “Chuck” Powers E. Jr., with whom she shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Angela Powers and William “Billy” Powers, and a proud and loving grandmother to Mason Powers, Gage Powers, and Faith Allen. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Powers, as well as several nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

A woman of many talents and passions, Sarah was a wonderful cook who brought people together around her table, and a gifted genealogist who cherished preserving her family’s history. She had a deep love for gardening and farming, finding joy in caring for the land and sharing that passion with others. She was deeply involved in her community, serving as a dedicated 4-H leader and a strong supporter of the local FFA, always encouraging and uplifting the next generation.

Sarah will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and her strength. She had a unique way of being both tough and fair, offering guidance with love, honesty, and unwavering support. Her presence brought comfort, joy, and a true sense of home to those around her.

Service Information:

A service honoring Sarah’s life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 11: 00 am at First Baptist Church of Middleburg (Theater Building) 2645 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg, FL.  

A celebration of her life will be held directly after.
