Ruby Faye Taylor, 90
Ruby Faye Taylor, 90, of Middleburg, Fl passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026. She was born in Loraine, Texas to the late Henry Blaine Beights and Ida Atkinson Beights. As a devoted Navy wife, she moved to the area in 1968 after a brief stay in in Norfolk, VA. She was a purchasing agent for the hospital at NAS Jacksonville. She retired in 1996 after 27 years in civil service. Faye was an easy going and sweet woman that dearly loved spending time with her family. She rarely, if ever, missed sending cards for birthdays, mother and father’s day, Christmas, or special occasions to her children, nieces, nephews, and cousins. After retirement she took up quilting and won a blue ribbon for one of her quilts at the Clay County fair.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bill Taylor; daughter, Leigh Ann Taylor; brother Cletus Beights; sisters, Maxine Heathcott, Mary Landfried, and Pearl Beights; her parents, Henry Blaine Beights and Ida Atkinson Beights.
Faye is survived by her two sons, Hank Taylor (Sarita) and Greg Taylor (Jessica); three grandchildren, Blaine Taylor (Kaley), Cole Taylor, and Jordan Taylor; 3 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Sadie, and Hattie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 11 AM in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Brian Sanderson officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1 hour prior to services at 10 am. Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
