Roy Lee Snelling, Jr., 69

Roy Lee Snelling, Jr. 69, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 following a lengthly illness.  Roy was born to the late Roy Lee Snelling, Sr. and June Knowles Sterling on November 11, 1950 and was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs.   He retired after over 33 years with the Department of Transportation for the State of Florida.  Mr. Snelling enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and flying his RC airplanes.

Mr. Snelling was preceded in death by nephew, Kenny Akers and stepfather, Ken Sterling and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elaine Snelling, son, Scott Snelling, daughter Donna (David Townsend) Snelling, sister, Bobbi (Greg) Gee, stepmother, Rosa Snelling, stepsisters, Susie (Bob) Bostwinkel, Kathy Sterling and Kim Sterling, stepbrother, Tom Sterling and nephew, Craig Akers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2020 in the Fellowship Hall of Russell Baptist Church.
