Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Peregory, 65

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Peregory, 65 of Middleburg, FL passed away Friday, July 31, 2020.  Mr. Peregory was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Francis R. Peregory and Velma Kepley.  He graduated in 1972 from Norview High school and in 1977 completed his four-year apprenticeship with NADEP as a sheet metal mechanic, aviation.  In 2013, Ronnie retired from Fleet Readiness Center southwest after 41 years of loyal service with the Dept of Defense 23 years with NADEP NORVA and 17 with FRCS, NAS JAX.

Ronnie was a founding member of Justice for Victims of Crime after the 1987 murder of his mother. Although he went to his death never knowing who did it or why, he was reunited with his mother in Heaven, having accepted Christ as his Savior in June.  “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

Mr. Peregory was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Peregory and is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith Peregory, three daughters: Megan Peregory, Holly (Andy) Phelps and Mallory Peregory, brother, Randy (Earline) Peregory, sister-in-law Debbie Peregory and a special cousin, Jerry Kepley, that was as dear to him as if they were brothers.

Many thanks to the men and women of Clay County Rescue Squad, Earl Pomar, and Edward, who valiantly tried to resuscitate Ronnie.
