Ronald Dee Blackport, 86

Ronald Dee Blackport, 86, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on January 13, 2026. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late William E. Blackport and Doris M. Broadstone Blackport.

Ronald spent most of his life in Michigan, where he dedicated over 40 years of service to Sequoia Press. In 2005, he moved to Florida to be closer to his family. After relocating, he continued his strong work ethic by joining Publix, where he worked for the past 16 years.

When he was not working, Ronald enjoyed traveling and watching sports. He was especially passionate about hockey and football and was a devoted fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning. He took great joy in supporting his favorite teams and sharing that enthusiasm with others.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Robert Blackport, Richard Blackport, Roger Blackport, and William Blackport; and his sister, Patsy Drzick.

He is survived by his brothers, Ralph Blackport and Rodney Blackport (Sheri); and his sister, Sharon Blake (Carl), along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
