Robert (Bob) G. Alderman Sr., 71
Robert (Bob) G. Alderman Sr., 71, of Middleburg, Florida passed peacefully on January 25, 2021, with his loving daughter at his side.
Born August 16, 1949 in Norfolk, VA, he was preceded in death by his parents, James and Maxine Alderman, devoted wife, Jeannie Phillips Alderman, and infant son Eric Wade Alderman.
He is survived by his son, Robert G. Alderman, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; daughter, Margye Jessica Winslow and her husband Ray; granddaughter, Neva Rae Winslow; sister, Brenda Lloyd and her husband, Chris; niece, Melissa and nephew, Chris.
Bob was born, raised, and lived most of his life in the Tidewater area. He was a Navy veteran and served the Parks and Forestry division for the City of Norfolk for 34 years until he retired in 2009. Bob wed the love of his life, Jeannie, on her 18th birthday and had an amazing 39 years together until her passing in 2011. Bob was personable, outgoing and had a great sense of humor. To have known him, was to love him.
Bob thoroughly enjoyed cruising the seas and property renovations with Jeannie during their many years together. He could routinely be found on the weekends meticulously caring for his yard and vehicles.
