Robert A. Baker, 82

Robert A. Baker, 82 of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mr. Baker was born to the late William and Thelma Baker in Jacksonville and moved to Middleburg in 1989.  He worked for Ryder Trucking, Flav o’Rich, Inc. and later owned his own truck company R. Baker Trucking.  He loved being with his family whether it was coaching baseball and softball, bowling, or going camping every weekend.  Mr. Baker was a member of Russell Baptist Church.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lauvern Baker and his son Bobby Baker. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Dallas and Karen Baker, brothers, William and Jackie Baker, sisters, Lavania Dorman, Sandy Jenkins, Martha Brown and Gail Head, six grandchildren, Todd, Nykie, Renie, Kimie, Kari and Lindsey and seven great grandchildren, Brianna, Harley, TJ, Lexie, Preston, Callie and Jace and his brother-in-law and good friend, JD Johnson.

Memorial Services will be held 6:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5-6:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
