Richard Wayne “Rick” Vineyard, 54

Richard Wayne “Rick” Vineyard, 54 of Middleburg, FL passed away Friday, January 14, 2022.  Rick was born in California, grew-up in Texas and moved to Jacksonville in 1992 before moving to Middleburg in 2009.  After high school, Rick joined the US Army and Army Reserve for four years and had been store manager at Tires Plus in Orange Park for the past nine years.  He was a member of Lake Area Bible Church in Keystone Heights, FL.

Rick was a loving husband to Amber, who he met 18 years ago, and father with a sense of humor that carried over to his everyday “joke” post on Facebook.  He enjoyed playing golf, and watching the Florida Gators and Jacksonville Jaguars play football.  However, his relaxing place to be was his “Redneck Patio” with music, grillin, and chillin.  Rick will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Gammons and is survived by his wife of 14 years, Amber Vineyard, children, Elijah  Young 20, Lukas Vineyard 15, Austin Vineyard 12, Autumn Vineyard 18, and Alexis Vineyard 14, brother, Justin Gammons and Amber’s extended family.

Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Lake Area Bible Church, 7085 County Road 214, Melrose, FL 32666

Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL  32043.  Family and friends may share their condolences at: www.RHRFH.com 904-284-7720

We had the pleasure of spending a full summer getting to know Mr. Rick Vineyard thru travel basketball. He was a wonderful and supportive father and if he wasn’t working we could always find him in the stands at a basketball game. I loved that he saw ALL the potential in his daughter and that he encouraged her to reach for the stars and excel in every sport she participated in. We are going to greatly miss him and we are praying for the Vineyard family.
