Providencia “Provi” Ramos, 82

Providencia “Provi” Ramos, 82, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Friday, March 5, 2021.  Provi was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Angel Rojas and Natividad Diaz.  She moved to the Clay County area ten years ago from Hormigueros, Puerto Rico.  Her husband, Rev. Bienvenido Ramos, together with Provi, were pastors of different churches in New Jersey, Ohio, and Puerto Rico for 32 years.  Her faith was important to her.  When they retired and after the passing of her husband, Provi continued to serve others in different ministries, such as food pantries, kids, and young women. Working as a seamstress, she donated her time to sew school uniforms for children in her native Puerto Rico community.  Provi had a huge heart and was all about giving and taking care of others. She loved to cook and share her food with others.  To Provi, the most important things were her relationship with God and the life of her children and family.

Provi was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a supportive wife to her late husband of 38 years.  She was determined to accomplish anything she set her mind to, no matter what.  Provi was always appreciative and was always showing gratitude to those in her life.

Mrs. Ramos was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 38 years, Rev. Bienvenido Ramos; brother, Efrain Agosoto; and son, Samuel Ramos.  She is survived by four sons, Bienvenido Ramos, Jr. (Peggy), Joel Ramos (Lilly), Angel L. Ramos (Jessica), and Josue Ramos (Lisa); three daughters, Miriam Alvarez (Obed), Abigail Ramos, and Julie Ramos Falto (Frank); one sister, Sara DelValle; sixteen grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Hibernia Baptist Church, 7100 Highway 17 South, Fleming Island, Florida, 32003.
