Peter T. Barton, 67

Peter T. Barton, 67 of Middleburg, FL passed away May 26, 2019.  Peter was born in Charleston, South Carolina and moved to Middleburg in 1961.  He was born to the late Ray and Alice Barton and traveled throughout his childhood and graduated from high school in the Philippines as his father served in the US Navy.  Mr. Barton served in the United States Air Force and retired from Civil Service as a supply technician.  As an avid motorcyclist, Peter enjoyed rides, going fishing and being “Papa” to his grandchildren.  He was a wonderful father and friend to everyone he met.

Mr. Barton was preceded in death by his wife, Toni Duckworth and is survived by his daughters, Cheyenne Barton, Destri (Darrious) Barton, and Ashley West, three brothers, Paul, Perry, and James Barton, and five grandchildren, Harmoni, Aniyah, Alijah, Merilyn, and Christopher.

Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday June 22, 2019 at Spencer Farm off Branan Field Road.

    Pete was a very good man. He is a model of what every Father should try to be to their children. I have a lot of respect for him and always will. He will be missed greatly and I am greatful for the time that I got to spend with him. Rest in peace my friend, and tell my mama that I love her for me please.
