Pamela Wiethop Hill, 61

Pamela Wiethop Hill, 61, passed away at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL on the morning of July 4th.  Pam was born in St. Louis, MO on October 22, 1955 to Allen and Dorothy Wiethop.  Moving with her family to Jacksonville, FL in 1969, she graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.  She went on to become a Certified Public Accountant in one of her favorite places: New Orleans.  It was there that she landed a job that took her to Africa, Scotland, Paris, and England.  Being thoroughly involved in raising her family and being a mother brought great joy to her life.  Returning to Jacksonville in 1993, she enjoyed every moment of her life and everyone in it.  She loved being outdoors, cruising on the boat, and spending time with her family.  Her happiness held strong during the tough times that Multiple Sclerosis dealt her.  No matter how hard life was on her, she lived each day with a smile on her face.  She always had a happy, positive outlook with the determination to think she could go anywhere and do anything.  She will be remembered by everyone she met and woefully missed by her friends and family.

Surviving Pam is her devoted husband of 35 years, George Hill; her adoring children, Amy Hill and Graham Hill; and her brother, Larry Wiethop of Mineral Bluff, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate.

Visitation with the family will be held at 10:00am Saturday, July 8, 2017.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00am with longtime family friend, Buddy Green, officiating.  The family welcomes all to join them for a meal following the service.

Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.  Family and friends may share their condolences at: www.RHRFH.com 904-284-7720

We will miss seeing Pam out strolling the neighborhood in her wheelchair. She and Amy were among the first neighbors we met when we moved in. Although we did not get the chance to talk often, I know how much she enjoyed being outdoors and having a good conversation with others. Even though MS ravaged her body it could never take her spirit and brilliant mind away.

Sending hugs and prayers to George, Graham and Amy and the rest of your family. As your family, friends and God surround you, may your loving memories of her bring you comfort as you go through this difficult life change.
