How many special memories I have of my childhood years spending time
with you my sweet, strong- spirited Aunt Nancy. You were such a supportive, ever-present
strong tower during my formative years. You shared great words of
encouragement and wisdom with me in moments we shared alone. You were one of
the loudest voices that carried the message of our rich Church of God
Heritage, and for that foundation of faith, I am forever grateful. One of
the last times I saw you, (just a few short weeks ago in the middle
of Wal-Mart), you reminded me of how special I am to you and how much you love
me. You shared how important it is that I never allow anyone to
mistreat me, and while life is not easy, I must be strong, realize my
value, and keep Jesus in my heart. As an adult, I often asked myself
“Who created Who? Did Uncle Walter create the strong woman that my Aunt
Nancy became or did Aunt Nancy create the strong Marine that everyone knew he
was?” Now with clear vision I see, it was God who created you
both by putting you two together as husband and wife. As a three
stranded cord, (You, Uncle Walter & Jesus) together you
touched many, many lives in indescribable, and memorable ways. I will
always remember your example in the midst of struggles, and the victories
you have won. Now you join the great cloud of witnesses; whom I
believe include our loved ones past. Cheer us on… I can
hear you cheering for us to finish our race well! It’s hard to believe you
are gone, but in God’s time we will see you again. Rest in Peace, well
done good and faithful servant; it’s time for your reward
