Marilyn Ruth Pridgen, 79

Marilyn Ruth Pridgen, 79, of Middleburg, FL passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025.  She was born in San Antonio, TX and spent most of her life there and had been residing in Florida for about ten years with her daughter and son-in-law.  Marilyn enjoyed sewing, singing, crafting and shopping, especially at her favorite store “The Dollar Tree”.  She was a determined and strong-willed woman who enjoyed being “Nana” to her six grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Louise Emilenburg; her beloved husband of 59 years, Ralph Pridgen; and three brothers, Phillip Emilenburg, Paul Emilenburg, and Victor Emilenburg.  She is survived by one daughter, Laura Price (Bobby); one son, Carlton Pridgen (Traci); six grandchildren, Timothy Pridgen, Rachel Pridgen, Joseph Patterson (Taylor), Ashley Patterson, Zachary Price (Jessi) and Emily Whateley (Andrew); and three great-grandchildren, Brentley, Maverick, and Jovie.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 11am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Tim Martin officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held at 10:30am.  Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband in The Great State of Texas on Tuesday, May 27 at 1:00pm at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214.
