Marcus Curtis Chisolm, Sr., 76

Marcus Curtis Chisolm, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017.  He was born in Selma, Alabama and moved to Green Cove Springs 22 years ago from Pensacola, FL.  Marcus was a Master Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy, retiring after a 26 year distinguished career with numerous commendations.  He then went on to retire from 22 years in civil service.  He loved serving on the USS Cunningham destroyer and the USS Little Rock.  Listening to Elvis, playing Spades or any kind of Poker, and Alabama football (ROLL TIDE!) were a few of his favorite things.  He loved nothing more than his loving wife, children, grandchildren, his dog “Little Chief” and grand-dog “Auggie”. 

Mr. Chisolm was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Edgar Mosley; father, Harrison Chisolm; and brother, Junior William Chisolm.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Beck Chisolm; sons, Kevin Hall (Jessica) and Marcus Chisolm; daughters, Christie Whittington (Philip), Cindy Reichenbach (Tim), and Ashley Graham (Josh); sister-in-law, Janice Chisolm; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends, including his best friend, Smitty.   

Memorial services will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service.
