Lois Mae Allen Guest, 73

Lois Mae Allen Guest, 73, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025.  She was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Jesse and Lizzie Allen.  A lifelong resident of north Florida, Lois moved to Clay County in 1983.  She worked for Duval Ford as a secretary for many years before her 20-year career as a bus driver for the Clay County District Schools.  Lois enjoyed watching Hallmark movies as well as Christmas movies all year long.  She enjoyed traveling to the mountains.  Lois had a heart of gold and the kindest soul.  She handled life in such a loving and gentle way.  Lois loved her family more than anything else.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lizzie Allen; her husband, Benny Guest, Sr.; her son, Benny Guest, Jr. “Tater”; and her twin brother, Jesse Allen, Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lane (Joe); two grandchildren, Jennifer Garrett (Jason Farkas) and Justin Garrett (Taylor Parsons); as well as five great grandchildren, Reese Farkas, Alexis Farkas, Cameron Garrett, Sophia Garrett, and Baleigh Garrett.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Ron Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the funeral service at 10am, also in the chapel.
