Lois Henry Tabor, 88

Lois Henry Tabor, 88, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020.  Mrs. Tabor was born in Crossville, Tennessee to the late Albert and Laura Sells Henry and was one of eight children.  Lois and her husband, James, owned and operated the James W. Tabor and Son Electrical Company in Virginia prior to moving to Clay County 28 years ago.  While living in Chesapeake, Virginia, she was a member of the Pilot Club and the Great Bridge Cruise Club.  Lois enjoyed traveling as a hobby and saw much of the country from her RV.  She enjoyed boating, gardening in her flower garden and cooking.  Most of all, Lois loved her family.  They were of utmost importance to her and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was known as “Meme” to all. 

Mrs. Tabor is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, James Tabor; one son, Richard Glen Tabor (Kennette); two daughters, Ginger Hampton (Tim) and Patricia Statzer; four grandchildren, Wesley Hewitt, Laura Hall (Jacyn), Jaime Spencer (James), and Andrew Hampton (Vanessa); eight great-grandchildren, Jerry (Jay), Madison, Bradley, Wayne, Melanie, Kaylyn, Tabor, and Ryan.

A private family service will be held.
