LCDR Clifton Harold “Kip” Acre, US NAVY (Ret.), 86

LCDR Clifton Harold “Kip” Acre, US NAVY (Ret.), 86 passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019.  Kip was born in Port Allegany, PA to the late Linford Clifton and Dorothy Lillibridge Acre.  As a retired Navy veteran of 27 years, he was stationed throughout the world and United States and has been a resident of Orange Park since 1972 after following orders to Rota, Spain.  After his Navy career, Mr. Acre continued working as a civilian contractor for an additional 20 years before retiring.  He was a faithful husband, father, brother, and dear friend and neighbor.

Mr. Acre is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Jackie Acre, daughter, Laurie (Joe) Johnson, brother, Carlton Acre, sister, Frances Ludwig and also by his faithful companion “Buddy”.

Graveside Services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Jacksonville National Cemetery with US Navy Military Honors.
