Larry “Dick” Davis, 73
Larry Richard “Dick” Davis, 73, of St. Johns, FL passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020. Dick was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Robert H. Davis and Telma Goodwin Davis. He moved to the area three and a half years ago after spending seven years in Gainesville, Georgia and the majority of his life in Asheville, North Carolina. Dick was a member of Fruit Cove Baptist Church. He was in the automobile industry for 15 years and spent his free time as a stunt pilot and a jazz musician. He loved playing jazz music. Dick was a family man; very kind, patient and giving. He was the greatest dad in the world.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Iris Davis; two daughters, Christy Davis Madson (Daniel) and Maria Davis Bentley (Mark); one brother, Robert Davis; sister-in-law, Portia Simpson; six grandchildren; and many other friends and family members.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Dr. Tim Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
