Karen Denise Baker, 62, of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 peacefully and surrounded by her family.  As a Florida native, and first born daughter to the late Robert and Lauvern Baker, Karen spent her early years off River Hills Circle in Jacksonville before moving to Middleburg in the 1980’s.  She enjoyed family gatherings where her beloved family could enjoy her gift of baking and cooking.  Karen loved camping at Kingsley Lake and Huguenot and cabin trips in the Tennessee mountains.  She also liked going to Walmart, which she would find a reason to- literally everyday- and the nail salon.  She was the best listener around whom you could talk to about anything and played the role of mediator within the family.  She will be remembered for her playful sense of humor, her outspokenness, her unhurried “hippie” approach to life, and most importantly, her unfailing generosity and kindness to those she loved.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lauvern Baker; and her brother, Bobby Baker.  She is survived by her son, Todd Jordan; daughter, Renie Jordan; one sister, Brenda Dallas; six grandchildren, Brianna Bracewell, Harley Jordan, T.J. Jordan, Crixus Jordan, Preston Thornell, and Ashtyn Harmon; four nieces, Nykie Dallas, Lindsey Dallas, Kimie Cooper and Kari Neyer; one great-niece, Lexie Fordyce; and one great-nephew, Jace Dallas.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 at 6:00pm in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Karen’s memory to Haven Hospice, https://beyourhaven.org/donate.

Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL  32043.  Family and friends may share their condolences at: www.RHRFH.com 904-284-7720
