June “Annette” Wilson, 76

June “Annette” Wilson, 76 of Middleburg, FL passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.  Annette was born in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Ernest and Lottie Ruth Ferguson. Over the years, she lived in Louisville, Kentucky, Tampa, FL and in Orange Park as she followed the career of her husband, Douglas, with L & N and CSX Railroad. While living in Orange Park, Annette was a pharmacy technician for Townsend Pharmacy.

After returning from Birmingham, where she cared for her parents, Annette moved to Middleburg and was a 5 th Generation member of the Church of Nazarene.

Church was an important part of Annette’s life; she also enjoyed fishing on the St. Augustine pier and Rod and Reel Pier on Anna Maria Island, making fudge and cookies, raising her champion sheltie sheep dogs, bird watching, and cheering on her Alabama football team. She loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her son, Shane Waits.  She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Wilson, sons, Wayne Waits and Andy (Hope) Wilson, daughter, Stacey (Barry) Tappan, brother, Charles Ferguson, 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with burial to follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  A time of visitation will begin at 10:30 AM prior to services.  Pastor Crystal Riner will officiate.
