Judy Kay Evans, 77

Judy Kay Evans, 77, of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.  She was born in Charleston, WV to Roy Shamblin and Wanda Caldwell and spent most of her life there before moving to Florida in 1970.  Judy drove a school bus for the Clay County School District for over ten years before retiring from Evans Contracting Services after over 18 years.  She was onery, spunky and sassy and the persistent professional as she taught her children everything she knew about business.  Judy loved Elvis, her ’57 Chevy and a margarita.  Her children took her on many trips to Biloxi, the Hard Rock, Las Vegas, and cruises as she loved a slot machine.  Judy was a loving woman, especially to her family and babies.  She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly called her “MawMaw”.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, H. James Evans.  She is survived by her son, James Evans (Nora); daughter, Lisa Mooney (Pat); one brother, Jo Keulemans; sister, Cindy Hazelton; five grandchildren, Brian Evans, Shea Lewis (Chase), Makala McDonald (Austin), Sierra Mooney, and Jordan Evans; and eight great-grandchildren, Kamryn Evans, Kaelum Evans, Kason Evans, Kylar Evans, Theodore Evans, Andrew Lewis, Brendan Lewis, and Clayton Lewis.
