Juanita Ann Collins Walker, 86

Juanita Ann Collins Walker, 86 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away at her home on Monday, July 27, 2026.  Juanita was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Horace Lee and Verdie Lee Collins.  After growing up in Chattanooga, she later moved to California with her family while they worked in the shipyards during WW II before moving to Green Cove Springs in 1982.

Juanita loved serving the Lord through her church, Doctor’s Inlet Church of God, and singing in the Doug Walker Trio.  She was the “best” mother anyone could ever ask for and loved being Meme to her grandchildren.   Juanita was a collector of porcelain dolls, antiques, and enjoyed travelling with her husband, Douglas.

Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her son, David Plaster, brothers, Eugene McBee and Harold Collins, sisters, Wilene Thompson, Esther Burrow and Glenda Harmon and her great grandson EJ.  She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Douglas A. Walker, children, James Plaster, Macky (Jessica) Walker, Christy Walker, and Wendy Walker, grandchildren, Brett, Jacob, Jason, Joshua, Jonathan, Jeremy, Jessica, Sheena, and Hayley, great grandchildren, Jonathan, Noah, Cora, Esme, Wyatt, Jaxon, Brayden, Alanah, Colton, Daphanie, Gregory, Abigayle, Rhett, Logan, Eli, and Brody, several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 31, 2026 at Doctor’s Inlet Church of God with Bro. Byron Griffis, Bro. Mitchell Snowden, and Bro. Jid Collins officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM of Friday at the church.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
