John O’Donnell, Middleburg, FL

John O’Donnell, 55, of Middleburg, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, at Orange Park Medical Center.  John was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on July 29, 1971, to parents Charles Edwards O’Donnell and Clara Polanco O’Donnell (Melida). He graduated high school in Ravena, New York, in 1991 and went on to graduate from Remington College in 2005.

John was a fan of many things. Including the Notre Dame football team, the Detroit Red Wings hockey team, Star Wars, Marvel Movies, and many other topics. He always had something to share and enjoy with other people. Added to his fun and considerate personality, John was always a joy to spend time around and easy to connect with.

Despite his over six-foot tall frame, John was always a beacon of kindness. A veritable gentle giant, John gave a loving home to many cats and has been a pillar of support for his friends and family. In his last few years, John survived a severe decline in physical health. And yet, it can be seen in his stalwart caretakers and friends how much John was loved by their commitment to him in his final days.

John is preceded in death by his elder brother, James Patrick O’Donnell, and his mother, Clara Polanco O’Donnell (Melida). He is survived by his sisters, Tanya O’Donnell and Sheila, and his father, Charles O’Donnell.
