John David Holstine, 51 of Middleburg, FL passed away Monday, May 11, 2026.  John was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Clay County in 1995.  He gained his Associates degree from FCCJ and for the past 25 years, he  worked as an inspector for fire protection systems.  He was a member of First Baptist Church Middleburg.

Over the years, John enjoyed hiking the trails of Florida and the mountains, camping in a tent or his RV and fishing.  He dearly loved his family and playing games at family holidays.

John was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Holstine.  He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jennifer Holstine, son, Dakota “DJ” Holstine daughter, Jordan (Julian) Holstine, parents, David and Loretta Holstine, brother, Robert (Teresa) Holstine, grandchildren, Lucas and Scarlett, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Rhonda Wimmer, sister-in-law, Rebekah (Wesley) Blackwood, and nephews, Justice, Tyson, Wesley, Travis and Kaleb.

Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral with Pastor Chris Bonts officiating.
