Jimmy Lee Cummings, Sr., 71, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025.  A lifelong resident of Florida, Jimmy was born in Orange Park, FL to the late Iris and Mary Silvey Cummings.  His first job at Gustafson’s Dairy at the age of 8 years old started a lifelong career in the dairy industry.  He later went on to work at Wright’s Clay County Farms, Sandridge Dairy as well as J&J Dairy in Southeast Surrency, GA.  He was a hard worker who also spent time as a handyman.  Jimmy had many gifts and talents that kept him busy in his younger years.  He had a green thumb and could make anything grow.  He was also artistic and loved to paint.  Jimmy had a great sense of humor, a big heart and was a friend to all.  He was a simple man who loved his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Iris and Mary Cummings; and two sisters, Charlotte Hutchinson and Tammy Mosley.  He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Gray Cummings; four sons, Jimmy “Bubba” Cummings, Jr. (Sherrie), Bruce Cummings, Jesse Cummings (Amanda) and Freddy Cummings (Anna); three daughters, Michelle Jones, Tonya Brandt (Pat), and Rayelyn Cummings; four brothers, Wayne Cummings, Jesse Cummings (Stella Mae), George Cummings (Glenda), and Dave Cummings (Lisa); 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Bro. Ron Baker officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at 10am.
