Jerry Roger McElhaney, 76

Jerry Roger McElhaney, 76 of Middleburg, FL passed away Thursday, July 16, 2020.  Mr. McElhaney was born in Sterling, Ohio and moved to Green Cove Springs, FL in 1977 from Burbank, Ohio.  He was a resident of Middleburg for the past 40 years and a member of Russell Baptist Church.  Following his service in the US Army, Jerry worked with Ohio Gas Company and after moving to Florida he worked with Johns Manville, Jack Revels in Green Cove Springs and retired after over 15 years with Comway Express.  Jerry enjoyed gospel music and singing favorites, working with wood on various projects, and riding motorcycles in the mountains near Gatlinburg.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. McElhaney is survived by his wife of 22 years, Angela McElhaney, daughters, Jana Cambria, Kelley Gardner, Erin Quirk, and Kitty Feinman, stepsons, Chris Allen, Josh Allen, and Ryan Allen, sister, Carolyn (Pete) Schorle, 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and many extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Bill Clayton and Pastor Chad Weeks officiating.  Burial will follow in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:30 PM Tuesday with Military Honors by the US Army.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM until services on Tuesday.
