Jeannie Cody Scott, 81

Jeannie Cody Scott, 81, of Fernandina Beach, FL passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026.  She was born in Waco, TX to the late John and Margaret Cody.  The family moved to Kansas City where Jeannie grew up attending Catholic Schools through her high school years.  She attended college at the University of Dallas as well as the University of Texas, earning a degree in interior design.  Jeannie was a Navy wife for 22 years and raised her three beloved children.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Frederick Marc Scott; one son, Robert Dews (Jennifer); two daughters, Jennifer Weiskopf (Bryan) and Elizabeth Baxter; two sisters, Janet Holmer and Mary Cody; as well as three grandchildren, Justice, Matthew and Johnathan; and four great-grandchildren.

She was a loving, caring, beautiful mother, grandmother and wife.  Her family was her everything and she will be forever missed.

A private memorial service will be held for immediate family only, according to Jeannie’s wishes.
