James Howard Miller Jr., 66

James Howard Miller Jr. passed away on September 16, 2025. He was born on March 10, 1959, to parents James H. Miller Sr. and Loraine Day Miller. When James was a young man, he enlisted and served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, he received his Electrical Contractors license and, along with a friend, started an electrical contracting business, JEM Electrical Inc. James and his loving wife, Karen, just celebrated 33 wonderful years together. James and Karen enjoyed fishing, boating, and gathering with friends. Together, they have enjoyed traveling; they recently visited Alabama, Mississippi, and Mexico, and then took a cruise this past July with family. The past year, spent traveling and enjoying retirement together, was truly a gift that the family will cherish for years to come.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Loraine Miller. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Miller; stepsons, Daniel Gibbs (Justine) and Michael Gibbs (Jennifer); sisters, Dimerous Miller Hatcher (Terry) and Cornelia “Connie” Miller Wright; granddaughter, Sophia Gibbs, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
