Jacqueline “Jackie” Rhea, 82

Jacqueline “Jackie” Rhea, 82, of Middleburg, FL passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024.  Jackie was born in Atlanta, GA to the late James and Virginia Oxford. She graduated from Fulton High School in 1959 before working in the banking industry and as a media assistant for Coweta County Schools.  Jackie’s faith played an important role in her life as she enjoyed attending Grace Community Fellowship in Newnan, GA and First Baptist Church of Orange Park after moving to Clay County 8 years ago.  Jackie enjoyed the arts and loved to paint and craft.  She was also an avid reader. The beach was her favorite place to visit.  Most importantly, she enjoyed her role as “Mom” and raised two very fine children. 

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Oxford; as well as her brother, Bernard Oxford.  She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, William “Brock” Rhea; one daughter, Ginger Ankrom (Gene); one son, Jimmy Rhea (Caitlin); five grandchildren who call her “Granny”, David (Bevin), Brittany, Ryan (Carly), Nicole (Nick) and Stephanie (Kyle); seven great-grandchildren, Conor, Eliza, Finan, Emma, Thomas, Teddy, Griffin, and one on the way.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Mach 25, 2024 at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Orange Park with David Tarkington officiating.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30am.
