Irma Regina Welch, 87
Irma Regina Welch was born in Georgetown Guyana in South America on April 26th, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Williams and the late Ulrica Grant.
Irma was married to the late Robert E. Welch on August 6th, 1949, and they together had eight children and subsequently 37 grandchildren, 14 great-grands and 1 great-great grand.
Irma migrated to the USA in 1984 and after decades of being an expert seamstress, decided to follow her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She became a house health aid and took care of many in New York and New Jersey. While doing her job, she broke her wrist and lost 80% use of her right hand. She retired and moved to Florida in 2005, where she resided ever since.
Irma has lived a full and productive life. She mothered eight children successfully. She was an expert seamstress, made everything from hats and bags to Bridal gowns and Grooms suits.
Irma was an avid Pentecostal Christian, stalwart evangelist, prayer warrior, speaker, giver, encourager and wise counselor. She wore all these hats to near perfection. All her eight natural children and others rise up and call her BLESSED!
