Helen Marie Minton, 76

Helen Marie Minton, 76, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017.  Mrs. Minton was born in Jacksonville, FL and lived in the surrounding area her entire life.  She moved from Nassau County to Green Cove Springs in 2005.  Marie was of the Catholic faith.  She was employed by the Nassau County School Board for 13 years.  Marie is described as a very intelligent woman.  Her hobbies included reading, painting and sewing.  She loved to go camping in the mountains.  Her family was her top priority and she loved them greatly.  She also adored her dogs, Sophie, Beau Bear, Peanut, and her cat, Sonny.

Mrs. Minton is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, James “Jimmy” Minton; sons, Mike (Tami) Minton and Tommy (Mammie) Minton; brother, Edwin Spence, Jr.; two grandchildren, Michaela (JC) Hackett and Chris Walker; and two great-granddaughters, Hailey and Aubree Hackett.
