Hazel Marie Watts, 68

Hazel Marie Watts, 68 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018.  Hazel was born in Douglas, GA to the late Hiram and Louella Davis.  She was a lifelong resident of Green Cove Springs until her health required her to move in with her family in Jacksonville four years ago.  Her church membership was at Russell Baptist Church and in her spare time Hazel enjoyed dancing, painting, sewing and decorating her home.  She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Watts, brothers, Gary Davis and Steve Davis, sister, Sheryl Baker and grandson, Colt Layfield.  She is survived by her children, Stephanie (James) Lester, William (Vickie) Layfield, Heather Dickerson and Travis Layfield, sister, Elaine Barber, 11 grandchildren, Shannon Lester, Robert Lester, Jr., Chelsea Lester, Samantha Frazier, Cody Layfield, Anthony Frazier, Jr., Ryan Dickerson, Kaytlyn Dickerson, Lacie Layfield, Elizabeth Layfield, and Reece Layfield, and 10 great grandchildren, Iliana Archie, Isaiah Archie, Izabella Archie, Farrah Hodges, Sunnie Lester, Camdyn Layfield, Aubree Layfield, Bentley Capell, Kashius Capell and McKinsey Capell.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday in the Chapel of Russell haven of Rest with Rev. Ronnie Surrency officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 AM prior to services.

    You will be missed grandma i love you and i have so many memories of us and not all good but more good then bad you were a free spirit you did what you thought was right and you standed for what you belived in and you were the strongest woman i knew and i not only got my name from you but also so much more the older i get the more i see you in me and iam proud of that and when life gets hard i will just remember that you are watching over me and with you and god i think i will also be able to do great thing’s in my life i love you grandma your gone for now but never forever love your first grandchild
