Harold “Butch” H. Cissell, 77

Harold H. “Butch” Cissell, 77, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on November 17, 2025. He was born on November 26, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Joseph H. and Laura B. Cissell.

Harold graduated from Northwest High School in House Springs, Missouri, before attending Missouri State University in Springfield, where he earned his degree in 1972. It was in Springfield that he met the love of his life, Beverly Sparks. The two were married in St. Louis on July 21, 1973, and went on to share more than 52 devoted years together.

In 1977, Harold and Beverly moved to Florida, where he began a 30-year career as an engineer with the Space Shuttle Program at Kennedy Space Center—work he took great pride in throughout his life.

Harold and Beverly found joy in working side by side on home and landscape projects, and they shared a deep affection for their beloved animal companions, especially their cherished toy poodles, Sugar Baby, Gidget, and Angel Baby.

Interment will take place at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery. In accordance with Harold’s wishes, no services are scheduled. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Beverly.
