In Loving Memory of Glenn Simmons

Glenn Simmons, 84, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on January 3, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1941, in Jacksonville, Florida, and spent the last 30+ years of his life in Green Cove Springs.

Glenn was known for his strong will, stubborn streak, and fierce independence—but also for his generous heart. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone who needed it. He lived life on his own terms, relying on himself and working hard every day.

He found his greatest joy in his shop, where he spent countless hours building, fixing, and restoring his many trucks and projects. To Glenn, his shop wasn’t just a place to work—it was a place where he felt most himself.

He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Simmons Jr.; his mother, Mabel Anderson; his father, Gene Simmons; and Gloria Phillips, the mother of his children.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Kimberly (Daniel) Bromley; his daughters, Tammy (Tim Scott) Simmons and Debbie (David) Mack; and his sister, Loraine Griner.

Glenn leaves behind a legacy of strength, grit, and quiet generosity. He will be remembered always by those who knew and loved him.
