Frank “Bill” William King, 80

Frank “Bill” William King, 80, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025. He was born to parents Ruth Reed King and John F. King in Olean, New York. Bill and his loving wife, Mary, moved to Jacksonville, Florida, in 1967, where they raised their family. He enlisted in the United States Navy and worked as a helicopter Mechanic for 20 years before retiring from the Navy. Bill started working for Linder Industrial Machinery as a heavy equipment mechanic. He worked for Linder for over 17 years before retiring for the second time. Bill enjoyed his days tinkering and fixing everything he could get his hands on. He loved working on his tractors and being outdoors. He loved cookies and Ice cream, but most of all, he loved his family. He was a beloved father and grandfather to his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Ruth Reed King and John f. King; brothers, Bernard Walker, Larry Walker, John King; sisters, Viola Walker and Margaret King.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Reitano King; son, Michael William King (Jennifer Marie) and grandchildren, Benjamin Thomas King and Taylor Marie King.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home and Chapel.  A time of visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until services begin on Thursday.  Burial services will follow the chapel service.
