Elisabeth Marie “Betty” Larcombe, 84, of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026.  She was born in Farmington, NJ to the late Albert Woodruff and Edith Karrer Woodruff.  Betty spent her early years in New Jersey and graduated from Oak Crest High School in 1960.  Her early career was spent as a meat wrapper at Starnes Grocery Store in New Jersey before moving to West Palm Beach.  Betty spent about 30 years in that area and worked as an administrative assistant in the construction industry, working for Perry Construction as well as Boynton Landscape.  Her later years were spent working in assisted living facilities at Sterling House in St. Johns County as well as Allegro in Fleming Island.

Betty’s faith was very important to her and was evident in how she spent her time.  She enjoyed singing in the choir as well as a singing group while at Florida Gardens Baptist Church in Greenacres, FL.  Betty spent a lot of time studying her Bible.  She was always a lady, prim and proper, but had a silly side to her personality.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Edith Woodruff; her husband, Raymond Larcombe; as well as her sister, Esther Morina.  She is survived by two sons, Robert Larcombe (Ann) and Scott Larcombe (Cindy); one daughter, Lois Simpkins (Howard); 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11am in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Betty’s memory to Haven Hospice, https://havenhospice.com/donate.
