David Lawerence Pardee, 81

David Lawerence Pardee, 81, passed away May 13th, 2022. David fought for countless years battling serious health conditions.

David was born on February 10th, 1941, in Chestertown, Maryland, to David Ellis Pardee and Mary Naomi Kendall. David known as Larry to his family and friends is one of 5 children. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert (Bobby) E. Pardee. He leaves behind his brothers Alvin J. Pardee, and James (Jimmy) Pardee, and a sister Shirley E. Warrington.

Larry grew up in Maryland farming before he joined the United States Navy. Larry met his future his wife, Jane (Gollmyer) and had 3 daughters, Veronica (Szoke), Cecelia (Haddock), and Monica (Garcia).

Larry was a 23-year veteran of the U.S. Navy. He served proudly. He would often share stories of his adventures on the USS Kennedy and USS Nimitz to name a few.

Upon retiring from the U.S. Navy, he moved to Orange Park, FL where he was employed by Orange Park Pest Control for several years. There was not a place he could go where he did not see a familiar face. There was never a stranger, and no one was ever a stranger. He loved to make people smile and laugh. He’d often say that it would make someone’s day with that simple act of kindness, it would make them feel better.

Larry leaves behind his 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Larry loved nothing more than spending his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Larry is preceded in death by his late father, David E. Pardee, his mother, Mary Naomi Kendall, his brother, Robert E. Pardee, his two son in laws, Robert D. Garcia and John F. Szoke III.

He will be laid to rest at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
