Cynthia “Cindi” Beth Kikta, 69
Cynthia “Cindi” Beth Kikta, 69, of Orange Park, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015.
Born in Alhambra, California, Cindi made Clay County her home in 1977. A devoted member of Orange Park United Methodist Church, she dedicated 34 years of distinguished service to the Clay County School District as an educator. Throughout her career, she touched the lives of countless students at Middleburg High School, Orange Park High School, and Lakeside Elementary School. Her influence was especially felt within the Middleburg High School community, where she was known for her unwavering commitment to her students, colleagues, and the pursuit of educational excellence.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cindi was an active member of the Indian Springs Garden Club and the United States Navy Wives Club. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her faith, and the many lives she enriched through her kindness, guidance, and service.
Cindi is survived by her sons, Brandon (Amber) Kikta and Sean (Kerri) Hall; her brother, Richard Avard; and her cherished grandchildren, Eric and Emily. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Avard and Gladys McNiece, and her brother, Tom Avard.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Russell Haven of Rest.
