Christopher Wayne “Cris” Dotson, 57

Christopher Wayne “Cris” Dotson, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida.  Cris was a man who deeply loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He came from a large family, loved each and every one of them, and they loved him right back. He will be remembered by family and friends for his sincere love of family, his heartfelt appreciation for them, and his caring nature.

He is survived by his mother, Katie Reagan, and stepfather, John Reagan of Yulee, Florida; his stepmother, Wilma Dotson of Michigan; two sons, Taylor Dotson and Chandler Dotson; and many beloved family members. He also leaves behind his first grandchild, Levi Dotson, who brought him great joy.  Cris was preceded in death by his father, Butch Dotson, and his brother, Timothy Dotson.

Anyone who knew Cris understood his appreciation for his beloved Florida Gators and Dallas Cowboys. He also deeply loved the St. Johns River near where he grew up.

Memorial Services will be held Noon Sunday, April 19, 2026 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.

Reception to follow at the Shriners Club in Green Cove Springs, Florida.

Cris will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
