Christopher “Ryan” Modlin went home to be with his Lord on Friday, May 27, 2022. Ryan at the age of 37 was born on August 14th, 1984 to Melanie M. Mosley and Chris. T. Modlin. He spent his lifetime in Green Cove Springs, FL where he graduated from Clay High School in 2002. Ryan was a hard-working man as a Diesel Mechanic at Modlin’s Trucking.

Ryan won multiple dirt bike races, played baseball and football. He enjoyed the most “running them dogs” with his Papa Cecil at Camp Blanding. He showed his love for his Nanny Jean caring for her and enjoyed visiting casinos.

Ryan was always ready to go to the beach and Springs with his wife and kids where they would spend time in the cabins and fishing at the lakes. Ryan found great pleasure in playing baseball with his son, Gaige as well as teaching him to golf and fish. Ryan embraced being with his son, but he also held a special bond with his youngest, Ryanne, riding four-wheelers and jumping on the trampoline. His most precious moments are those tight hugs and adorable duck lip kisses from his Baby Possum. Not only did Ryan have two children to call him dad, but he also has two amazing daughters, Rylan and Khloe. He always held a light in his heart that will never dim for them. Ryan had the blessing of having a stepdaughter Blainey and they both cherished every moment as one of his own. All his children gave him the honor to be the proudest Dad. His children hold the most precious moments in life with him.

Ryan brought so much love and humor to a room filled with laughter. Ryan had the most compassionate heart, country personality, and goofy dancing. Every one of us hold special moments with the Greatest Man, Father, Husband, Son, Brother, and Grandson. Ryan will be deeply missed during this lifetime; however, we will never forget the memories made. We will all meet again with an amazing man that holds a piece in our hearts for eternity.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tom Modlin; and his grandmother, Tammy Mosley. He is survived by his wife, Randi Renee Modlin; mother, Melanie M. Mosley; father, Chris T. Modlin; one son, Gaige Ryan Modlin; four daughters, Rylan Kae Modlin, Khloe Renee Modlin, Ryanne Renee Modlin, and Blainey Nichole Hilton; four sisters, Christen Renee Modlin, Nylene Dawn Modlin, Myranda Modlin, and Langston Modlin; one brother, Jacob Edward Tillman; grandmother, Dorothy Jean Modlin; grandfather, Cecil Mosley; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00am at Russell Baptist Church with Ron Baker officiating.  A visitation will be held one hour prior at 10:00am.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
